No Skips: Miles Davis – Kind of Blue
Hi everyone,
Our next 'No Skips' listening party is coming up, and we've selected one of the greatest albums ever made: Miles Davis's 1959 masterpiece, Kind of Blue.

Few records have left a mark on music like Kind of Blue. Widely considered the most popular and influential jazz album ever made, it was a turning point for the genre — pushing at the boundaries of what jazz could be, both in sound and in spirit. The players Davis assembled were extraordinary, and many would go on to define jazz for generations to come.
We'll be listening together from start to finish — no skipping, no shuffling, just the record as it was meant to be heard.
Join us on Monday, June 1 at The Moat in the CBD. Doors open at 6:00pm for a 6:30pm start.

And if you haven't already grabbed tickets for our next First Chapter event on May 25 at Hope St Radio, there are still some available. Our guest curator Leah Jing McIntosh — critic, researcher, and founding editor of Liminal Magazine — has selected Maxine Hong Kingston's The Woman Warrior for us to read together.

See you soon.
