First Chapter: Edition Four
Hello,
Thanks to everyone who came along to Monday night's event, where we read The Woman Warrior by Maxine Hong Kingston. A big thank you to our guest curator, Leah Jing McIntosh for the introduction to this important work.
As a new month approaches, we're turning our attention to the next event where we'll be reading Viriginia Woolf's extended essay from 1929, A Room of One's Own on Monday, June 29 from 6:30 pm at Hope St Radio in Collingwood Yards.

We're delighted to welcome Teju Cole — writer, photographer, and professor of creative writing at Harvard University — as our guest curator. Teju will be joining us via video call from the United States, and we will be starting a bit later than usual to accomodate the timezone difference.

Tickets can be purchased via this link, and there is an option to buy the book. As always, these sessions are not recorded, because the magic really happens in the room.

Yesterday was a bittersweet day for jazz lovers: Sonny Rollins became an ancestor and it also marked Miles Davis's centennial. We'll be celebrating maestro Miles this Monday at the No Skips listening party. There are still tickets left if you'd like to join us.

See you soon,
Santilla
